Head coach of Hasaacas Ladies, Yussif Basigi has expressed his sides readiness to oust Wadi Degla in a bid to lift the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League trophy.
After winning their WAFU-B qualification series, Hasaacas came to Cairo in confidence that they can achieve more. They proved so by two emphatic wins to go top of group A.
Degla needs to win the game to have a chance at qualifying while Hasaacas would qualify with the full mark if they win today’s match.
Coach Yussif Basigi says his team’s eyes are on the ultimate title.
“There’s no difference between this game and the last games, we will not change our approach as we take each game at a time”.
“We are not qualified until the match is over, and we have to win that last match because we are here to win the title, so we take each match with the same seriousness”.
“The match will be very difficult, they need to beat us 3-0, and we will not let go of the win. Degla’s number 7 (JASMIN THERESA ZACHWIEJA )is a very good player, but my team has good players as well”.
The team is currently the most successful club in Ghana and won an unprecedented double; Women’s Premier League and FA Cup in 2021 before traveling to Ivory Coast to win the first ever West Africa Football Union Zone B Women’s Club Championship.
