Prosper Harrison-Addo

The Ghana Football Association Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo has urged the Black Princesses to go past the Group stages of the upcoming of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

Mr. Addo said this when he visited the team at their camp base in France.

‘’You have qualified to be at the World cup so any team you meet there; you are of the same pedigree. Don’t go with the mindset that the other teams are bigger or better than you. You all qualified as of right and you are entitled to be there through your own hard work” He urged.

‘’It is the same hard work and determination that will get you through the group stages. Don’t go looking too far beyond the group stages, your goal is to make it from the group stages first, and take the next matches one at a time” the GFA Secretary added.

The Black Princesses were recently thrashed 4-0 in a friendly encounter with France.

The friendly encounter was a dress rehearsal for the team ahead of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

They will engage in another International friendly before the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup kicks off on August 10, 2022 in Costa Rica.

The team will  depart France for Costa Rica on Monday, August 1, 2022 to continue preparations for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World cup.
