The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association has announced that a play-off between the three second placed clubs in the Division One Leagues will determine the Club to replace demoted AshantiGold SC in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

According to a statement from the GFA, the competing teams are second placed Clubs in their respective Division One League Zones.

These teams are Tamale City FC, Cape Coast side, Ebusua Dwarfs FC and Dansoman outfits, Liberty Professionals.

The three teams will engage in an all play all League format after which the winner makes it to the Premier League.

This arrangements from the GFA comes after Ghana Premier League giants, Obuasi Asantigold were found guilty of match manipulation in their 2020/21 matchweek 34 GPL game against International Allies.

A draw held for the teams to ensure fair parings.
