The Ghana Police Service on Thursday revealed that its Service is taking steps to relocate the two tigers at Wonder World Estates owned by Freedom Jacob Caesar.

This comes after complaints made from residents of Wonder World Estates, Avenue Lincoln near the British High Commission at Ridge.

Some residents say don’t feel safe living in the same community as the wild animals.

They claimed to have expressed their concerns to the management of the estate, but nothing had been done about the situation.

Subsequently, the Ghana Police Service in a statement directed the Forestry Commission to facilitate the relocation into a much safer zone.

“Police have reached out to the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission and efforts are underway to relocate the animals to an appropriate facility,” the police said.

They also indicated the deployment of a special taskforces to assist in making the process a safe one.

“A special police team has been deployed to provide adequate security in the affected neighbourhood to ensure the safety of residents until the animals are relocated,” the statement added.
