PDS explains why electricity consumers credits are Vanishing

For some time now customers have complained about the challenges they face anytime they reload their prepaid credit over the past weeks.

Explaining the reason for the challenges, the Public Relations Officer for the Power Distribution Service (PDS), Mr Mensah Boateng said it may be as result of a system failure.

He further urged customers to remain calm since the company is working hard to resolve challenges with vanishing prepaid credits

Mr Boateng also said that though the company has its own challenges, it will work very hard to solve the country’s electricity problems.

He said that customers who lost their electricity credits anytime power goes off will be refunded with the amount they previously loaded before black outs.

He said all those facing challenges with their prepaid meters frequently, will have to change them in order to solve the problems once and for all.

“I have spoken to the Director and measures are being put in place. If you have the master card, we can easily identify those who have lost their credit in such cases and we will refund it,” he said.

Mr Boateng said PDS is increasing their technical men and bringing other stake holders on board in order to assist the company to resolve its challenges.
