Augustine Evans Adotey, head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, says that winning against CR Beloiuzdad of Algeria is his team’s only immediate goal for the Tarkwa team.

The Ghanaian champions enter the match in need of a victory to fuel their push for qualification to the CAF Champions League knockout stage.

On Match Day 1, the Mauves and Yellow lads suffered a 0-3 loss to Al-Ahly in Egypt, while CR Beloiuzdad triumphed 3-0 over the
Young Africans in the other Group D match.

In a press conference held prior to the game, coach Adotey stated his one and only desire is for a good result for Friday’s match rather than focus on the loss to Ahly.

“I am not going to predict; It is my mission that tomorrow, Medeama will carry the day whether we will score two (goals) three or one, at the end of the game, I want to see my team carrying the day.”

On Friday, December 1 at 16:00 GMT, the CAF Champions League Group Stage Match Day 2 match is set to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
