Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has vented his frustration about the disappointing 2-2 stalemate with Egypt in the ongoing Afcon tournament
Egypt was able to salvage a point from the match following two unpardonable errors by the Black Stars.
However, Chris Hughton Ghana’s gaffer isn’t giving up in the face of the dismal outcome.
He said in a post-match interview that “We will continue to fight. It is true that at the moment there is a lot of frustration in the locker room. Our team deserved more, but football is like that. It’s frustrating. In a similar performance, we would surely have won. Two errors cost us the match. We didn’t take this opportunity to take the three points,”.
In order to advance to the next round of matches, the Black Stars must defeat Mozambique with great confidence on Monday. Chris Hughton claims that his side’s risky matchup with Mozambique is his main thought and priority.
“In Africa, tiny teams are extinct. We’re getting ready for a challenging game against them. We have already done the maths; we need to win so that we may follow our ambition, and I am confident that we can.” He said.
