Otto Addo

The Ghana Football Association has revealed that plans are underway to find a suitable successor to outgoing Black Stars head coach Otto Addo.

The Borussia Dortmund trainer has left his post as Coach of the Senior National team following Ghana’s excruciating 2-0 defeat to Uruguay in their final Group H game at Al Janoub stadium.

Ghana suffered two defeats and won one in Group H of the ongoing World Cup – finishing bottom of the group leading to their elimination from the Tournament.

GFA’s Vice President, Mark Addo says search for  a new coach for the senior national team, the Black Stars has begun.

‘’We knew that Coach (Otto Addo) will be leaving in six months, so we do have a succession plan’’ Mark Addo told the press at a briefing in Doha on Saturday.

‘’We just going through the process, it’s a process, you know the Ghana Football Association works with different stakeholders in this decision-making process’’.

‘’Like I said, first thing is to get our reports in quickly, have a meeting within our stakeholders, including the President, the Executive Council and Government and once that is done, we will make a decision on his successor. So yes, we have a plan’’ he added.
