The country mangers of Ethiopian and Asky airlines have told AviationGhana that the two partners are ready to start its Accra-Washington flights via Lomé as advertised on June 1, 2022.
ASKY Airlines Country Manager for Ghana, Mr. Worlanyo Afadzinu, said: “The introduction of the Washington flight is in line with our objectives of connecting Africa to the rest of the world. Washington Dulles becomes the third destination in the USA that have been successfully connected to our Hub in Lomé.
“Effective June 1st, we are providing alternative flight options for passengers traveling from Accra to Washington Dulles with a minimum connecting time in Lomé.”
On her part, Ethiopian Airlines’ Area Managers, Yemesrach Alemayehu, said the new service offers the travelling public more travelling options to the US.
“ET is pleased to introduce this direct service from Lome to Washington giving additional connective between West Africa and USA in connection with ASKY.
The Washington service is added to the daily flight we currently have to New York giving better travel alternative to USA,” She said.
ASKY Airlines is a private multinational passenger airline serving West and Central Africa, with its head office in Lomé, Togo and its hub at Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport.
The airline is a strategic partner of Ethiopian Airlines, and has been consistently profitable since 2017. It currently operates a fleet of 10 aircraft.
