Laryea Kingston, head coach of Ghana’s National Under-17 Men’s Football Team, believes his squad still has room for growth.
Ghana’s campaign in the 2024 WAFU Under-17 Zone B Championship got underway with a 5-1 victory over Cote D’Ivoire.
In the competition’s opening match, which took place at the University of Ghana Stadium, Ghana dominated Cote D’Ivoire, scoring three goals in the second half to offset Joseph Narbi’s brace in the first.
In the post-match interview, Kingston complimented his technical staff and mentioned that even with the significant victory, his boys still have room for improvement.
“Of course, there is more room for improvement…as a technical people, we will sit down and watch the game again to see where we have to improve and then make sure we encourage these lads to grow as people. We will watch the video again and make sure we correct our mistakes”.
Ghana will battle it out with Benin next in its final Group B game.
