WAFU Cup of Nations: Ghana to play three friendlies ahead of the Tournament

The Black Satellites of Ghana are set to test their strength in three high profile friendlies ahead of the 2022 WAFU Cup of Nations to be hosted in Niger.

The defending Champions are gearing up for the competition which serves as qualification for the TotalEnergies Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

According to the GFA, Coach Karim Zito’s lads will play against Division One side on Tuesday, April 26 at the Accra Sports Stadium before facing Academy outfits, Euro Africa on Thursday at the same venue.

They will wrap up their preparations with a crunch encounter with Hearts of Lions on Tuesday May 3rd.

Ghana are the defending Champions in the 2020 edition following a 2-1 win over neighbours Burkina Faso at the Stade Charles De Gaulles in Porto Novo.

The U20 Male team will face Nigeria, and Burkina Faso in the group for a place at the 2023 U20 AFCON Tournament.
