Television broadcaster, and host of the Stand Point programme Gifty Anti says has tested negative for Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The women’s rights activist was tested as part of protocols for those under mandatory quarantine.
Mrs Anti was part of 1030 persons put under mandatory quarantine after they touched down at the Kotoka International Airport late last week.
The president announced closure of the country’s borders, sea, air and land which which was to take effect 12 midnight Sunday.
However, all those who were to touch down prior to the air closure were to undergo mandatory quarantine as part of measures to reduce the COVID 19 pandemic.
During quarantine, there were to be monitored and tested for COVID 19
There has since been drama and controversy from some of the persons under mandatory quarantine.
For Gifty Anti it was joy as she gave an update in a video posted to Facebook.
“My results is (sic) finally in, the doctor drilled me a lot before she finally told me that I have come out negative, I don’t have the virus but then with the caution, I still have to be very careful,” she said.
Mrs Anti who revealed that she was in the fourth-day of quarantine said she was glad to be negative but was aware that she was not yet out of the woods.
