The lecturers Professor Ephraim Avea Nsoh, Principal of the College of Languages Education at Ajumako and Dr. Frimpong Kakyire Duku who is the local President of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) were dismissed after they sued the university.

They say the lecturers have been unjustifiably dismissed and must be reinstated. They are also demanding the resignation of the Vice Chancellor.
Lectures have been halted for days as the demonstration turned violent by the day.
