The long-standing FA Cup sponsorship partnership between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and telecom behemoth Scancom PLC (MTN Ghana) has been extended for an additional three (3) seasons.
The 2010–11 season marked the beginning of the GFA and MTN’s partnership, which was extended in 2013 and again in 2017 and 2020.
Encompassing 18 Premier League clubs, 48 Division One League clubs, and 44 Division Two League clubs from the ten Regional Football Associations, for a total of 110 clubs, the MTN FA Cup is an exciting competition.
The 18 Premier League clubs participate in the main competition at the Round of 64 stage after the Division One League clubs and the Regional Division Two League clubs compete in the preliminary round.
The winner of the MTN FA Cup advances to the CAF Confederation Cup competition and is awarded a massive trophy, money, and merchandise from MTN.
