The CAF Best XI for 2023 includes Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen, who was crowned the King of African Football at the awards ceremony held in Marrakech, Morocco, as well as Black Stars duo Mohammed Kudus and Thomas Partey.
After a stellar 2021–2022 season, Mohammed Kudus, a 40 million euro acquisition for West Ham, who also scored twice for Ghana at the 2022 World Cup, made the list.
Arsenal’s player Partey played a key role in the team’s successful season-long play that saw them place second in the Premier League.
Along with Andre Onana of Manchester United, who was chosen ahead of Yassine Bounou of Morocco, who was named CAF’s best goalkeeper of the evening, he was included in the CAF Best XI.
The CAF Best XI also features players like Victor Osimhen, Sadio Mané, Mohamed Salah, and Achraf Hakimi. Both Kudus and Partey have had an incredible year, highlighted by this recognition.
They have both continuously demonstrated their extraordinary talent on the global scene.
