Black stars interim Coach, Otto Addo has revealed that Ghana will make things difficult for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the return leg of the 2022 World Cup playoff on Tuesday.

The two West African heavy weights drew barren in a highly publicized derby, in the first-leg of the 2022 World Cup playoffs in Kumasi, leaving all to play for when the two sides clash in Abuja on Tuesday.

Ghana were dominant in the opening exchanges but failed to capitalize on the chances that came their way.
On the other end, Joe Wollacott also made a fine save to deny Moses Simon.

According to the Borussia Dortmund assistant trainer, Nigeria’s inability to score in Kumasi in the the first-leg of their 2022 World Cup playoff could be the decisive factor in the return leg. Hence, Nigeria will be forced to come out in search of goals in Abuja which could benefit the Black stars attack.

“The Nigerians saw that we can play as well. Even though the Afcon wasn’t good I think we matched them up,” the Ghana coach said.

They have high quality players but in all it was equal. The pressure will be on them at home and no away goals can hurt a lot” He said.

The return match will be played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on Tuesday with the winner over the two legs picking one of Africa’s five tickets to the World Cup.
