Black Stars Captain, Andre Ayew’s Swansea City have a date with destiny and a promise of a return to the elite football when they come up against Brentfold in the play-off final.
Swansea saw off Barnsley in a pulsating 1-1 drawn game in the Championship semi-final play-off encounter, winning 2-1 on aggregate.
Ayew’s match winning goal in the first leg at Oakwell proved decisive for Steve Cooper’s side in the second leg.
It is Swansea’s second straight appearance in the play-offs following relegation from the elite division in 2018.
Swansea opened the scoring in the 39th minute on Saturday as Grimes who sent a curling effort from the edge of the box into the top left corner after taking control of a Jay Fulton header.
In the 71st minute, Woodrow leveled things for Barnsley, side-stepping the ball from just inside the box and into the net after a marauding counter run by Jordan Williams.
The Welsh club will face Brentford, the side that knocked them out of the play-off semi-finals last season – on Saturday, May 29.
