Accra Hearts of Oak defeated their noisy archrivals Asante Kotoko 1-0 on Matchday 20 of the betPawa Premier League at the Accra Sports stadium on Sunday.
The host were coming from a loss to Accra neighbours Great Olympics in week 19 whilst Asante Kotoko beat Bechem United 1-0 in Kumasi.

Despite the drama in the camp of the Rainbow lads, they put up an impressive showing from the blast of the Referee’s whistle to pick up a deserved win over the Porcupine Warriors in the presence of the President Nana Akufo-Addo, who was in attendance at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Konadu Yiadom was the hero of the day as his well-placed header in the 57th minute earned them three points in the Ghana Premier League.
They now sit fourth, level on points with Kotoko but ahead on the table due to a superior head-to-head.
