At the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards, Afro-Dancehall performer Stonebwoy, whose real name is Livingstone Etse Satekla, won the coveted Artiste of the Year title.
Ultimately, he prevailed against fierce competition from other Ghanaian music singers: Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Sarkodie, Nacee, and Black Sherif.
With this incredible victory, Stonewoy has now won the coveted Artiste of the Year award twice, ceding his status as a major force in Ghanaian music.
Stonebwoy was the night’s biggest winner, with six wins from his eleven nominations.
The renowned Afro-dancehall performer now becomes one of just two artists, along with Sarkodie, to have taken home the coveted Artiste of the Year award twice since its establishment in 1999.
The International Conference Centre’s Grand Arena hosted the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards on June 1.
