Hon. Dr. Stephen Amoah

Stephen Amoah, a member of parliament for Nhyiaeso and the deputy minister for trade and industry, has been reassigned as the deputy minister for finance by President Nana Akufo Addo.

The late John Kumah, who died on March 7, 2024, is replaced as the Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso.

The appointment of Stephen Amoah comes after a statement released on Tuesday and signed by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications.

President Akufo-Addo has designated Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo, a member of parliament for Achiase, as the deputy minister-designate for trade and industry, subject to parliamentary approval, after Stephen Amoah was reassigned to his position as deputy minister for finance.

President Akufo-Addo hopes that Parliament will bipartisanly “expedite the approval of his nominee, so he can join the Government forthwith, and assist in the delivery of his mandate for his second term in office,” according to a statement he made.
