Founder and leader of New Life Kingdom Chapel International, Stephen Akwasi, popularly known as ‘Jesus Ahuofe’ is expected to reappear in court Monday following his remand into police custody.
The acclaimed Prophet was arrested following his prophecy that dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, would be shot on October 18, 2021.
Stephen Akwasi, was seen in a viral video explaining circumstances under which Shatta Wale Dancehall would be shot.
‘Jesus Ahuofe’ prophesied the murder of Shatta Wale on Monday, October 18, 2021, by armed robbers.
The Prophet claimed “a big calamity will befall Ghana, Ghanaians should pray for our musicians, especially dancehall music performers. I saw in my vision that one had lost his life”.
He mentioned the first name of Shatta Wale and warned that he should seek the face of God otherwise he can’t escape his untimely death.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale and three other accomplices were also remanded into police custody for a week on the same day.
Bishop Stephen Kwesi Appiah has thus been charged for causing fear and panic. He however pleaded not guilty.
The Melissa hitmaker was arrested by the Police for faking reports that he had been shot by some unknown gunmen on Monday, October 18, 2021.
The reports claimed Charles Nii Armah escaped after the gun shot but was battling for his life at a health facility.
The police subsequently released a statement indicating that, its team went to Shatta’s house and a number of health facilities but could not find him.
Prior to his arrest, Shatta Wale in a lengthy Facebook post, rendered an unqualified apology to his fans and people who were affected by the hoax.
