Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale was the big winner at the 10th edition of the MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards, which took place on Saturday, November 16 at the Kempinski Hotel.
The My Level act picked up five awards; Best Edited video, Most Popular video, Most Influential, Best Reggae and Dancehall artiste and Big Chune.
Ever the spotlight grabber, Shatta Wale gifted his award for Most Popular Video (Gringo), to Stonebwoy to show that there really was no bad blood between them.
“I am giving this award to Stonebwoy to prove that the fight is over. Anyone from the camp of Stonebwoy can come for it on his behalf. I love him to the max,” he said.
Stonebwoy also showed Shatta Wale love when during his performance he came off stage to hug him.
Sarkodie picked up three awards including Best Male Video, Best Hip Hop Video and Lifetime Achievement.
Other award winners on the night included Stonebwoy, who won Best Collaboration with his song Kpo Keke, Medikal won Best Special Event, Best Highlife Video went to Nana Boroo, Quamina MP won Best Discovery Video, Best Directed Video went to Akwaboah, Okyeame Kwame won Best Hiplife Video and Best Female Video went to Wendy Shay.
In all 20 awards were given out on the night with Dr Osei Kwame Despite receiving the Living Legend Award.
The night, which was graced by the creme de la creme in the creative arts industry, also witnessed great performances from the likes of Stonebwoy, Medikal, Quamina MP, Joey B, La Meme Gang, Kwaw Kese, R2Bees, Sister Derby among others.
Comedian DKB and actress Joselyn Dumas were the hosts.
