The next phase of vaccination against covid-19 is expected to commence tomorrow May 19, 2021.
Tomorrow’s exercise is specifically meant for persons who have already received one jab and are awaiting their booster jabs.
Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association, GMA Dr. Titus Beyuo explained why Tomorrow’s vaccination will focus on those who already have their first jabs and advised such persons to watch out for the designated points to take their shots.
He told Nathaniel Nartey that Ghana has a robust Immunization system, the reason why the country received its next batch of vaccines ahead of other African countries.
Dr. Beyuo explained that government’s target to vaccinate 20 million Ghanaians by the end of the year is threatened by the global manufacturing challenge for vaccines.
He is of the view that 20 million Ghanaians can be vaccinated in a week provided the vaccines are available.
