The Ghana Education Service (GHS) has announced the senior high school (SHS) placement for junior high school (JHS) pupils who took the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The Ghana Education Service made this information public on Tuesday.

To find out their various placements, parents, students, instructors, and the general public can now access the Computerised School Selection Placement System (CSSPS) online.

585,797 individuals qualified to be placed out of the total 598,839 results that were received by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).

81.56%, or 477,772, have already been automatically assigned to one of their options.

With more than 100,000 more students placed, this year’s results are significantly better than previous year’s.

In a press release signed by the Head of the Public Relations Unit, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the Ghana Education Service stated that 108,025 (18.44%) qualified candidates could not be matched with any of their preferences.

“All such students are, therefore, to do Self-Placement to select from available schools,” stated theGES.
