Accra Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu has expressed his dissatisfaction following his sides sim victory over North African counterparts, AS Saoura on Sunday.
The Phobians defeated JS Saoura 2-0 in the first leg of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.
The win puts them in pole position for the group stage but they will need to travel to Algeria for the second leg.
Despite the victory, the gaffer said his outfit’s two goal lead isn’t enough considering the chances created and the dominance on the field of play.
“I am not happy at all with the scoreline, because we should have scored more than just two goals,” Boadu said in a post match interview.
“We created a lot of chances and we scored just two goals,” he concluded.
The Rainbow club has a second chance to make an impact in Africa this season, after their elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca, 6-2 on aggregate.
With their last visit to North Africa ending in a humiliating 6-1 loss, the Accra-based side will be fully aware of the difficulty of the task ahead in the upcoming second leg.
Hearts will travel to Algeria next week with a two-goal advantage and will be hoping to seal a spot in Caf Confederation Cup group phase.
