43-year-old Chinese Rosewood Queen, Helen Huang has been recaptured after escaping from jail six weeks ago.
She was charged before court on 25th June Tuesday morning but was referred to the Immigration Service to look into the documents of the Helen Huang for further investigation.
She was arrested last month in Tamale for trying to transport debarred forestry woods loaded into two tracks.
Helen Huang was recaptured after she reported herself on returned from China where she’s been hiding since she escaped about six weeks ago.
She reported herself in order to seek for a bail and accused checkpoint officers of demanding a ¢8,000 bribe before her initial arrest.
Speaking to Accra based Joy FM, the Commander of the Immigration Service in Temale, William Andoh said that he has listened to the suspect (Huang ) and has decided that the case be forwarded to Accra for further investigation.
“Listening to her, and listening to all that she has told me, I think the best option left to me is to send her to Accra for further investigations,” he said.
He said he is making arrangements to ensure that Helen is properly investigated today or in the cause of the week.
