The Special Weapon And Tactics (SWAT) officers of the Ghana Police have on Thursday, arrested one Samuel Asante at the Christiansburg Castle Junction area for allegedly trading in narcotics.
The arrest follows a tip-off received by the officers.
According to the Police, a thorough search on Samuel Asante and his room revealed seven sacks of dried leaves suspected to be Indian Hemp and 10 bottles of alcoholic drinks brewed with some of the materials in the sacks.
The Police added that with this arrest, they will “continue to adopt strategies to rid communities of criminals, in a bid to prevent crimes and to ensure law and order in the country”.
“The general public is encouraged to assist the Police with information on criminal activities,” the police said in a post on Friday, September 3.
The suspect will be arraigned before court soon.
