The EXIMBANK funded Ekumfi Fruit and Juices Limited Pineapple Factory under the One District One Factory project is nearing completion.

The factory, situated in Ekumfi Nanaben in the Central Region, received close to sixty million cedis.

The Director of Operations, Fredrick Kobbyna Acquah expressed excitement about the facility his outfit received from the EXIMBANK.  He said the Pineapple Factory now has what it needs to start production.

He announced that by the end of the year, the factory’s pineapple juice will hit the market for purchase.

He urged Ghanaians to purchase the product since the pineapple juice has no additives with a longer life span than other juice in the market.

He gave details about what the company will be supplying  to the market during the Christmas season.

“Pineapple mixed with passion, pineapple mixed with mango and many more”

The project which is a Ten Ton per hour fruit juice facility begun operations in 2017.

Mr Acquah explained that the company decided to concentrate on raw materials products because it is more sustainable.

He said the company has 19 sites with machines fully installed ready to commence after training workers.

He noted that the factory will be managed by Ghanaians in order to boost job creation for the youth in the country
