Paa Kwesi Fabin

Black Meteors Head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has invited U23 players for back-to-back games against their Japanese opponents in Tokyo on June 4 and June 8.

Key players from the squad are drawn from the team that won the 2021 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year in Mauritania.

The players have graduated to the U-23 team in line with the GFA’s transitional policy.

For Japan, the games will serve as test matches for the Olympic Games Football competition

Poland-based midfielder Yaw Yeboah and Vitoria Guimaraes centre-back Abdul Mumin made the list for the upcoming U23 friendly fixture with Japan.

Gent winger Osman Bukari, Slovakia-based Benson Anang and Colchester United attacker Kwame Poku, who all featured for Ghana’s senior side, the Black Stars in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in March, have also been included in the squad, having failed to make the Black Stars’ roster for their upcoming friendly matches against Morocco and Cote d’Ivoire.
