Muntari

Defending Ghana Premier League Champions, Accra Hearts of Oak have announced that Sulley Ali Muntari will miss their clash with Aduana Stars in the weekend top-liner at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park.

Speculations were rife in the media claiming the veteran midfielder had made a decision not to play in Dormaa. However, the Rainbow club clarified that report via a post on their social media page that his omission is based on medical advice after picking up a knock in Hearts previous game against WAFA.

The 37-year-old, who scored his first goal for Hearts of Oak, has been impressive since making a return to the Ghana Premier League, scoring one and providing an assist in six games.

The ex-Portsmouth player won his first title with the club, when he starred in the victory over Asante Kotoko in the President Cup.

The Phobians are fifth on the GPL league log with 29 points. They face a difficult task against Aduana Stars in Dormaa.
