Accra Hearts of Oak gaffer Samuel Boadu has attributed his sides victory over Madeam SC in the MTN FA Cup semi-final to quality in squad depth.

The Phobians serious squad depth is setting them apart from other teams, having already sealed the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League title.

The Rainbow boys are on course for a double domestic cup this season following a 3-0 victory over Medeama on Sunday.

Goals from Benjamin Afutu, Isaac Mensah and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh ended any hopes of a Medeama upset.

“I do not depend on a few players. I build around all the players and so, if one player is not available, then the replacement will be better than the starter” Boadu said.

The former Yellow and Mauves coach revealed how Hearts edged over Medeama SC:

‘The match, in itself, was a good one. In the first half Medeama tried to confuse us with their game plan but we used our tactics to get all the three goals.”

Hearts, record FA cup winners are set for a final showdown with Ashgold next Sunday after they booked their place in the final by a 4-1 win over Chelsea after extra-time.
