Black Stars Coach Chris Hughton hopes to have defender Mohammed Salisu available against Angola on Thursday, following major concerns over his fitness.
The Gaffer said ”If I look at the squad, the only concern would be about Mohammed Salisu who there has been some concerns about him over the last few weeks. He has had some difficulties, some injury difficulties over the last two week. I know he played last week but his club has used him sparingly because of some of the issues. So this is one that we have to consider so from the squad that we he would be the only doubt that we would have and it’s something that we would have to determine and think about today and tomorrow”.
The Southampton defender was ruled out of action for the last four games after suffering an injury during the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on February 11th.
The Black Stars will host Angola in their TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Matchday three qualifier today, Thursday at the Baba Yara Sports stadium .
Kick off is at 4pm.
