In a significant cabinet shuffle that was revealed on Wednesday, President Nana Akufo-Addo replaced Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta with Mohammed Amin Adam.
Reshuffle effects have been felt by about 13 current ministers of state, comprising 10 cabinet ministers and 2 regional ministers.

Ministers and Deputy Ministers of their portfolios in Government, with immediate effect,” Eugene Arhin
Director of Communications, Office of the President, said in the statement.
In line with articles 78, 79, and 256 of the Constitution, respectively, President Akufo-Addo has submitted the names of the following individuals for appointment as Ministers and Deputy Ministers of State to Parliament for prior approval through Speaker Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, according to a press release from the Presidency.
The following Ministers of State and Deputy Ministers of State have also been reassigned by President Akufo-Addo to new positions, and he has instructed them to start serving in their new capacities right away.
Francis Asenso Boakye, the Works and Housing Minister, has been transferred to the Roads and Highways Ministry, while Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister of Information, has been reassigned to the Works and Housing Ministry.
Ambrose Dery, the minister of interior, was also transferred as a minister of state to the office of the president.
After being promoted, Ms. Fatimatu Abubakar, the Deputy Information Minister, is now the Ministry of Information’s minister-designate.
