The Black Stars B team suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Uzbekistan in an international friendly played at the Markaziy Stadium in Namangan, Uzbekistan.

Ghana made a poor start to the game and were duly punished by Otabek Shukurov’s early lead in the 4th minute of the game.

Tanko’s side drew levelled through Ghana U-20 star Abdul Fatawu Issahaku with a long range free-kick in the 71st minute.

However, Uzbekistan restored their advantage following a defensive mix-up and held on for a famous 2-1 victory.

Ibrahim Tanko and the lads will need more time to prepare ahead of the 2021 WAFU Cup of Nations in Nigeria and the upcoming CHAN qualifiers.
