Black Stars playmaker Mohammed Kudus has left Ajax for English Premier League side, West Ham on a € 43 million transfer fee. According to reports, this amount can increase to € 46 million through variables.
The former FC Nordsjælland star signed a five-year deal with the option of a further 12 months with the Hammers on Saturday.
At Ajax, Kudus won the Eredivisie twice (2021 and 2022), and won the Dutch Cup once (2021).
“I’ve been dreaming to play in a league like this since I was a kid,” said Kudus, who will wear the No 14 shirt at West Ham.
“I’ve been dreaming of this moment and I’m so happy to be here. But it doesn’t stop here, I want to keep going.
“I try my best to entertain the fans as I think that’s what football is all about. I’m just here to do my best and help the team. I’m really happy to be here. I will fight for the badge. I can’t wait to get started.” He said in an interview after his move.
The Ghanaian international played 87 official matches for Ajax’s first team and scored 27 goals.
