Kumasi Asante Kotoko moved to the top of the Ghana Premier League table following a 3-1 home win over Dreams FC on Saturday in Match week 23 encounter at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors left Len Clay with three points after coming from behind from a goal down to secure three vital points to overtake Accra Great Olympics on the league table.
Emmanuel Ocran scored first for the visiting Dreams but replies from Brazilian striker Michael Vinicius, Ghana international Ismail Abdul Ganiyu and forward Francis Andy Kumasi turned the tables for the hosts .
Dreams who saw a lot of the ball in the opening minutes of the game, took the lead through Agyenim Boateng who scored from a penalty kick in the 38th minute.
The referee pointed to the spot after Fabio Gama handled the ball inside the 18-yard box.
Kotoko quickly responded and drew level four minutes later via a header from Brazilian striker Michael Vinicius who was handed his first start by Head Coach Mariano Barreto.
The home team then took the lead for the first time in the match after Abdul Ganiu Ismail converted a penalty in the 57th minute.
Substitute Francis Andy Kumi completed the comeback for Kotoko in the 78th minute.
By virtue of today’s results Kotoko sit one point clear at the top, Dreams FC hold fifth spot on the table.
