Coach of defending Ghana Premier League champions, Samuel Boadu has aimed a dig at archrivals Asante Kotoko following a stalemate at the Accra Sports stadium in match day 7 outstanding fixture on Sunday.
Both teams had decent chances to win the game but Richard Atta pulled some amazing saves to keep Hearts of Oak in the game as Asante Kotoko were also saved by the goalpost after 90 minutes of action at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
There were reports of the Rainbow club sacking their coach if the Porcupine Warriors beat them at their own backyard. However, Samuel Boadu in a post-match interview lashed out at the Kotoko team after Coach Prosper Ogum claims Hearts upped their game for the first time this season.
“This was not one of our best games, our best game of the first round was against Legon Cities, if we had used our junior team (Auroras) against them today, Kotoko can still not score us,” Boadu told reporters.
The draw means Asante Kotoko are seven points clear at the top of the League log with 37 points ahead of second placed Bechem United.
Hearts of Oak finished the first round with 25 points – 12 points behind their bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko and 7th in the League table.
