Former Black stars center back, Anthony Baffoe has urged Milovan Rajevac to select deserving players during the Senior National team duties.
The former Fortuna Dusseldorf defender believes the Black stars have sufficient quality for success.
Ghana under the auspices of the Serbian tactician has improved immensely as they defeated Zimbabwe in back-to-back games in 2022 World Cup qualifying over the last five days.
Milo assumed duty last month, replacing CK Akonnor who was fired following the Black Stars’ uninspiring start to the World Cup qualifying campaign.
“My advice for the new coach is to ensure he invites players who deserve to play for the team. Any player who gets the chance must earn the jersey,” the former CAF Deputy General Secretary of CAF told Graphic Sports.
“Any good coach can get the best out of whichever players he has at a particular point in time and that is what I expect from Milo.
“I don’t think we don’t have a team as people are saying. I believe it is rather a matter of what you can do with what you have.”
The 67-years old first coached Ghana between 2008 and 2010, leading the Stars to the final of the 2009 African Nations Championship, the final of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and the quarter-final of the 2010 World Cup.
Ghana Black Stars of Ghana kept their hunt for the final qualification round of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup alive after beating the Warriors of Zimbabwe back-to-back.
The Black Stars now have to win all two matches remaining to book a ticket through to final qualification round, away to Ethiopia and at home to South Africa.
