After winning the Volta Football Association Middle League on Sunday, Inter Allies has been promoted to the Division One League.

After a 1-1 tie in regulation time, the Capelli Boys secured the triumph by defeating WAFA SC in a penalty shootout.

Eight minutes into the second half, Inter Allies tied the score after WAFA had taken the lead fifteen minutes earlier.

After ninety minutes, despite multiple tries, neither team was able to strike the back of the net again, forcing a penalty shootout to determine the winner.

In the shootout, Inter Allies performed admirably, making four of their kicks while WAFA only scored one.

Inter Allies is particularly happy with their win because, due to their loss in the championship game, they were not able to qualify for the Division One League the previous year.

The team hopes to carry on its winning streak and is excited to play in the Division One League.
