Inusah Fuseini

Inusah Fuseini, former Member of Parliament for Tamale Central and the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources has refuted allegations regarding his ownership of properties in Dubai.

These allegations were first published by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), which identified him as one of the “politically exposed persons” from former President John Mahama’s tenure with properties in Dubai.

During an interview on Okay FM on Tuesday, June 25, Mr Fuseini suggested that these allegations might be an attempt to shift the focus from the current government to former ministers.

“First of all, the story is inaccurate because I was a minister from 2014 to January 2017. The second thing is that he, himself (the Daily Dispatch journalist), said it is alleged. So because of that, when I saw the story, I referred it to my lawyers.

“They told me not to pass any comment on it. But they said details are still emerging so we are waiting for the details.

“But this could be one of the attempts to deflate the attention that is being drawn on government unto former ministers,” he stated.
