Hiplife musician Mzbel has revealed that she does not have the passion to do music anymore.
In an interview with blogger, Zionfelix, on his Uncut YouTube series, Mzbel said she was now into other businesses.

“Going to the studio to record is not my thing anymore. I have actually had calls from other musicians to do collaborations but I declined because I don’t have time to do music.

“Being an entertainer is not only about recording and performing on stage but involves creating an environment where people can come together and have fun,” she said.

According to Mzbel, she now has a pub and restaurant called Belas in Tema and explained that because she wants her businesses to be successful, she is very involved in whatever happens at the restaurant.

“I want to make sure everything is working so I am virtually here everyday, supervising whatever happens here. I am a perfectionist and make sure whatever I do is well done. That is the reason why I have set music aside for now,” she said.

Talking about other matters, Mzbel said she has been quiet for a while because she was dealing with a relationship issue.

She said her partner had wanted marriage but she was not so sure about settling down. “I don’t want to start something that will not end well so I am very careful about what I engage myself in. My partner is very serious about marriage but I am giving it a second thought,” she stated.

Known for songs like Yopoo, Awoso Me, 16 Years, My Bonnet and others, Mzbel also advised former signees of Zylofon to speak positive about their boss NAM1.

“NAM 1 is a good man but its unfortunate things did not go as planned. That man meant well for our entertainment industry,” she said.
