The Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah has appealed to the Attorney General’s Department to help him retrieve a $39million debt owed his firm by Horizon Royal Diamond in Dubai.
Speaking at a press briefing today in Accra, Appiah Mensah, popularly called NAM 1 called on the government through the AG’s department to employ international law and diplomatic relations to enable him access that money which will help him service his debts to customers of Menzgold.
He said he is fulfilled and ready for greater exploits, adding that he is “highly motivated to add up to our previous gain.”
He complained that his detention in Dubai has made him older than his actual age, insisting his detention in Dubai was harrowing with some swelling, blood clots in his pelvic region and knees with excruciating pains.
“While my detention in Dubai was a harrowing, daunting, terrific and horrific experience, I am grateful to God because I feel very refined,” he said, adding “It has made me older than my age as we grow in our experiences and not in years.”
He added that the company cannot pay their customers when their account is frozen and therefore called on the Government to reconsider its decision in order to help pay their customers.
“We are on bending knees”
He added that he did not escape Ghana because of the challenges he was facing with his company.
“I did not escape Ghana to Dubai or any part of the world, I did not escape” he noted.
He also said that Menzgold is not a ponzy scheme but just an innovative drive.
