Ghana Premier League champions, Accra Hearts of Oak have announced the suspension of skipper Fatawu Mohammed for two weeks for violating the terms of his contract.
The Phobians announced the decision via their social media handles on Tuesday.
The long serving right-back recently signed a 2-year contract extension which will run till 2023.
According to the Rainbow club, the 29-year-old will be required to train with the junior team.
In his absence, Mohammed Alhassan will act as captain.
Fatawu captained Hearts of Oak last season when the team cruised to lift the Ghana Premier League title and the FA cup.
