Hasaacas Ladies have been crowned champions of the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone B qualifying tournament following a 3-1 victory over Nigeria’s Rivers Angel on Thursday night at Stade Robert Champroux in Ivorian capital Abidjan.
Goals from Veronica Appiah, Perpetual Agyekum, and Azumah Abugre were enough for the four times Ghana Women champions who got their revenge over the Nigerians, having lost to them in their opening match of the competition.
Both teams already booked qualification for the maiden Caf Women’s Champions League to hosted by Egypt later this year by reaching the finals.
Yusif Basigi’s side have won the treble this season after clinching the Ghana Women’s Premier League, FA cup and are champions of Wafu B qualifying tournament.
