Great Olympics

Accra Great Olympics earned the bragging rights in the Mantse derby as they beat city rivals Accra Hearts of Oak 0-2 to earn first league win in 17 years.

It was a game clearly dominated by the wonder club, having taken the lead just after 13 minutes through a Gladson Awako wonder kick.

The ”Agosu” club added another before the 20th minute mark with a cleaver shot from Maxwell Abbey Quaye to condemn the phobians to their third loss of the season.

Hearts of Oak after conceding the two goals came into the game and created some goal scoring chances, but Great Olympics defended gallantly to deny them from reducing the deficit.

The result sees Great Olympics move to third on the Ghana Premier League table as Hearts of Oak drop to sixth place.
