Danlad Ibrahim

Following the conclusion of the 2023–2024 Ghana Premier League season, Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club formally parted ways with 10 players, including goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim.

After the Porcupine Warriors finished sixth out of 18 teams, the club confirmed the departures in a post on their X page.

In the most recent season, Kotoko finished with 49 points from 14 victories, 7 draws, and 13 losses. However, they were only two points out of second place in the league.

The dismal season sparked a lot of chatter about a mass exodus from the team, and the mass departure supported those rumors.

The two players that suffered the most were goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim and midfielder Serge Eric Zeze. Zeze’s injuries and Ibrahim’s inconsistent play took him from being a near-certain starter to a benchwarmer.

Ibrahim was part of the roster of players that made it to the Black Stars 2022 FIFA World Cup squad.
