Champions Accra Hearts of Oak defeated neighbour’s Accra Lions 3-0 on Friday in Matchweek 26 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians were in emphatic form from the commencement of the game as the win moved them temporarily into fourth position on the league table with 40 points for the first time this season.

A brace from Afriyie Barnieh and a goal from substitute Isaac Agyenim Boateng were enough to condemn the new boys to a defeat.

Hearts played majority of the game with a man-advantage as after referee Sefa Eric Antwi sent off Abdul Razak Yusif in the 38th minute for a reckless challenge on Hearts forward Kwadwo Obeng Junior.

Star man Sulley Ali Muntari made a cameo in the second with an assist to his name.
