The 16-year-old girl, who is married to Gborbu Wulomo, the high priest of the Nungua Traditional Council, has been placed under the protection of the Gender Ministry and the Police Service, according to information released by the Ministry of Information.

The girl, who is apparently in good health, was visited by officials, including Gender Minister-designate Dakoa Newman, as part of a government statement stressing the commitment to child protection.
