The Black Satellites of Ghana have booked a place in next year’s U-20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament after beating Niger in the semi-finals of the WAFU U-20 Championships.
After a cagey 120 minutes of action, neither side could find the back of the net at the Charles de Gaulle stadium in Porto-Novo.
In the penalty shoot-out, the Black Satellite won 5-3 to secure a place in next year’s youth championships in Mauritania and also a final berth.
Ghana will face the winner of the encounter between Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso in the finals of the WAFU U-20 Championships.
