GFA’s Exco Committee tasked to find new Black stars coach submits report

The three-member search committee which was appointed by the Executive Council to make recommendations for a new coach of the Black Stars has on Thursday, submitted its report to the Ghana Football Association.

The Committee, made up of Vice President Mark Addo, Upper East Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Salifu Zida and Dr. Randy Abbey were tasked to find a Head Coach and Assistant Coaches for the Black Stars within 72 hours following the dismissal of C.K Akunnor and his two assistants.

Following the submission of the report, the next steps will include finding internal alignment with relevant stakeholders and decision making by the Executive Council before signing of contract, official announcement and unveiling.

Ghana currently sit second in Group G with three (3) points after the two opening matches in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifiers.

The Black stars returns to action in October with back-to-back clashes with Zimbabwe in their next two World Cup qualifying matches.
